Last weekend I had the pleasure to be welcome to a genuine Chinese wedding. Since I never had gone to a Chinese wedding in Malaysia I went to one in China it was a magnificent chance to encounter how Chinese individuals in Malaysia celebrate such an occasion. How I engaged in this wedding you will peruse on this page. Sometime prior I expounded on my companion David’s son Suresh his wedding. They are Indian so it was a commonplace Indian wedding. David acquainted me with Mr. Ong Ah Hee, a citizin of Kuala Kurau. As the name suggest, Mr. Ong Ah Hee is Chinese. He welcomed me to go to wedding of his second son, Mr. Ong Kok Lam, with Miss Goh Huey Ching, girl of Mr. and Mrs. Goh Eng Hawk.
The day I met Mr. Ong Ah Hee, he welcomed David and me for a small party to meet his son and coming girl in regulation. At this party, Mr. Ong Ah Hee let me know I could make as many pictures as I needed. David would do some shooting for the family. While we spoke, Mr. Ong Kok Lam let me know they would host a small get-together on Friday to praise his last day as a single man. Also, Miss Goh Huey Ching welcomed David and me to witness the entire Chinese robe chinoise chic wedding costume and plus the lady of the hour’s supper the Saturday. David and I showed up at Mr. and Mrs. Ong Ah Hee’s house in Kuala Kurau at Friday night the 25th. A major tent was at that point set up outside the house in the nursery. It was to be sure a small casual party with snacks and brew. The Saturday activities started around 6pm. This was the day of the lady’s wedding supper. The Saturday supper was for the lady’s site as it were. From the lucky man’s site just he and some friends however no close family members were welcomed.
As indicated by customs, not even Mr. and Mrs. Ong Ah Hee, the grooms parents, were permitted to join. The supper occurred in a restaurant in Bukit Mertajam. Interestingly, this wedding supper was not by any means the only one in this restaurant. Upstairs another Chinese wedding supper was held. We showed up in Bukit Mertajam around 7.30pm. The supper was supposed to start around 8pm. The supper would consist 9 unique dishes as per Chinese customs for conventional Chinese weddings. The entire supper would take around 2 to 3 hours yet the husband to be would not be around the entire supper. Once more, Chinese customs did not permit him to stay the full supper. Overall after around 5 dishes, he should return to his own house. Cutting the cake at the Chinese weddingDuring the supper, a karaoke was accessible.
