The fragrance notes in a perfume-
The fragrance notes are compared to musical notes in a song. These scented notes are revealed over time by highlighting the top notes as centre notes and the base notes later completing the whole circle. The three types of notes are-
- Top notes- this is the scent that a person first smells while applying a perfume. It evaporates quickly but helps people make their first impression about the perfume. Examples of top notes may incorporate lavender, mint, and coriander that hold a strong scent.
- Middle notes- also alluded as heart notes as this scent forms the central heart of the composition, with better molecular structure they stay for a better time than head notes. Examples may contain sandalwood and jasmine.
- Base notes- this is the scent that support the heart notes well, it generally provides the deep feeling to the perfume. Examples may include musk and tobacco.
Altogether all three notes influence and supports one another in giving a scent that lasts in the hearts and minds of people.
